Forge wedding rings yourself - The special experience for two

Forge wedding rings yourself - How does it work?

The "forge your own wedding rings" work process:

To give you the opportunity to forge your wedding rings yourself, we have prepared three different work processes with which you can forge Euro wedding rings yourself in our goldsmith studio. Of course always accompanied by master goldsmith Markus Wiesner.

  • Making wax parts - precious metal casting - finishing (wedding rings with endless symbolism)
  • Gold sheet forming - profiling - finishing (wedding rings with endless symbolism)
  • Mokume Gane sheet metal patterning - shaping - finishing (Mokume Gane wedding rings with endless symbolism)

Which precious metals are suitable for wedding rings forging itself?

Since wedding rings should last a lifetime, it is important to use the right precious metals or precious metal alloys. Silver is a very soft precious metal, which we cannot recommend on its own as a material for wedding rings. However, in combination with more robust precious metals, such as palladium, yellow gold, white gold or platinum, as used for example in mokume gane, silver can be used very beautifully. We offer in this context a special technique of Mokume Gane also for wedding ring forging itself.

For gold colored wedding rings we recommend the  585  and 750 yellow gold alloy. They both have always offered very good resistance to the everyday stresses to which a wedding ring is exposed.

For white to slightly light gray shades, white gold alloys in 585 and 750 white gold work very well. For light gray shades, we recommend platinum 950. If you want your wedding rings to appear in a somewhat stronger gray, palladium in various finenesses is a good choice.

No matter which material you choose in the end, forging wedding rings yourself is a lot of fun and of course has the super individual character, because you have made your rings with your own hands. Also nice is the idea to forge each of the wedding ring of the partner, the partner herself.

Forge your own wedding rings and personalization

As if self-forged wedding rings were not personal enough! Nevertheless, you can have your self-forged rings engraved by our experienced master engraver with your very own individual saying, wedding slogan, motif, or simply with your name and wedding date.

Prices for forging your own wedding rings

Of course, self-forged wedding rings will also cost something. Above all, however, the selected material, in which you want to forge your wedding rings yourself, decides on their price. In addition, master goldsmith Markus Wiesner will accompany you through the entire process and provide guidance or help if things don't go quite right.

Since we have prepared very different types of manufacturing for you, as well as the materials are very decisive, we submit you an offer after a first consultation, so you know exactly what comes to you.
