Bagassa is one of our light-colored, two-tone Mokume Gane rings and demonstrates just how unique wedding rings can look without relying on bold gold tones. 500 palladium and 925 silver combine to create a vibrant grain of light gray and silver tones.

Particularly distinctive are the six star-like patterns distributed around the ring. They give Bagassa a recurring rhythm without appearing regular or industrially reproduced. For if you look more closely, each of these stars reveals its very own unique pattern.

Fine lines radiate outward, meet again, and continue flowing between the individual star motifs. Depending on how the light falls, different areas of the grain stand out more prominently. Thus, the rings appear calm and silvery one moment, while the next, individual lines and structures become more clearly defined.

Two precious metals—light colors and six unique star motifs

For Bagassa, we use 500 palladium and 925 silver. Both precious metals fall within a light color palette but possess different nuances, which allow the individual lines and surfaces of the mokume gane to stand out from one another.

The colors and patterns are not applied afterward. In our own goldsmith’s workshop, we fuse the prepared precious metal layers together to create the solid Mokume Gane layered material. Through subsequent forging and precise shaping, different areas of these layers become visible and develop the characteristic grain pattern.

At Bagassa, the processing is guided in such a way that six star-like pattern areas emerge. While their arrangement can be influenced by craftsmanship, their fine lines and internal structures cannot be replicated identically.

That is why every pair of Bagassa rings has its own grain pattern and is truly one-of-a-kind.

Seamlessly Forged

Bagassa is forged seamlessly in our goldsmith’s workshop. This ensures there are no solder joints to interrupt the grain pattern. The star motifs and the lines running between them can continue around the entire ring without a visible beginning or end.

The visible structure is not a decoration added afterward. The rings are crafted from solid Mokume-Gane layered material, which we produce ourselves from the various layers of precious metals.

Diamonds as a Strategic Accent

Bagassa can be combined with diamonds. A particularly striking variation is shown by the pair of rings pictured, featuring a princess-cut diamond. The diamond’s clean, geometric shape creates an intriguing contrast to the soft, flowing lines of the Mokume Gane.

Other diamond designs tailored to the model are also possible. We take care to ensure that the diamond setting harmonizes with the grain pattern and that the ring’s characteristic star motifs remain visible.

Custom-Made for You

The Bagassa rings shown here are examples of the possible grain patterns and designs. Your own pair of rings will be newly crafted just for you. As a result, a unique pattern emerges during the manufacturing process that differs from every pair previously made.

With Bagassa, you can choose a ring width between 4 and 10 mm. The profile is gently domed on both the inside and outside. The ring thickness, pattern, and diamond setting can be customized to your preferences within the limits of technical feasibility.

The satin-matte finish accentuates the understated color effect of palladium and silver. This keeps Bagassa light and serene, while the subtle variations within the Mokume-Gane grain remain visible.

The six star motifs give these Mokume Gane rings a special rhythm. At the same time, the pattern remains lively: each star develops its own lines, swirls, and transitions. This means that, especially when viewed up close, there are always small details to discover.

Handcrafted in our goldsmith’s workshop

Bagassa is individually crafted in our own goldsmith’s workshop. We even produce the Mokume-Gane layered material ourselves. To do this, the prepared layers of palladium and silver are welded together and then forged and further refined.

Master goldsmith Markus Wiesner develops the characteristic grain of this material step by step. For Bagassa, this involves, in particular, the elaboration of the six star-like pattern areas and the lines running between them.

While the basic concept of the pattern can be repeated, its delicate detail cannot. As a result, we do not produce industrially mass-produced surfaces, but rather individually crafted Mokume Gane rings, each pair of which develops its own unique character.
