Mokume Gane Cross Pendant – Hand-forged in the Jaboty Pattern

A cross is a piece of jewelry with personal significance. Our Mokume Gane cross pendant combines the classic cross shape with a vibrant pattern created from four different-colored precious metals.

Master goldsmith Markus Wiesner crafts the pendant in our goldsmith’s workshop in Beilstein. The cross shown here features the Jaboty pattern, which we also use for our hand-forged Mokume Gane wedding bands.

Four Precious Metals and a Unique Pattern

The cross pendant is crafted from 750 yellow gold, 585 rose gold, 500 palladium, and 925 silver. The differently colored metal layers are fused together into a solid composite through fire-welding and then patterned through forging and precise finishing.

The Jaboty pattern features irregularly flowing lines in which warm gold tones alternate with gray palladium and light silver. This pattern is not an applied decoration; it arises directly from the interlinked precious metals.

Since we craft the pattern by hand, each cross has its own unique structure.

Dimensions and Finish

The cross measures 23 × 17 mm. Including the eyelet, the total height is 27 mm. The eyelet has an inner diameter of 2.9 mm.

The surface has a satin finish. This ensures that the different metal colors and the fine pattern lines remain clearly visible.

With a silver chain or as a custom-made piece

The cross pendant comes with a round link chain made of 925 silver with a spring ring clasp.

The Jaboty pattern shown is just one of the possible designs. Upon request, we can also craft the cross pendant with a different Mokume Gane pattern. This allows the piece to be coordinated, for example, with existing Mokume Gane wedding rings.

A cross for First Communion, Confirmation, or as a personal piece of jewelry

Thanks to its classic shape, the cross pendant is ideal as a gift for a First Communion or Confirmation. It can also be worn as a personal piece of jewelry, regardless of a special occasion.
