Have your wedding rings made from your old gold, or even better, from your family gold. This is a particularly beautiful tradition in which the precious metal from inherited jewellery or jewellery given by parents and relatives is used for your wedding rings. The wedding rings pictured here show just such a pair, made by master goldsmith Markus Wiesner from our customers' family gold.
Wedding rings made from scrap gold | Quality through know-how and experience
Careful selection of the precious metal to be melted is essential in order to obtain an alloy of the highest possible quality for your rings. The art of melting and alloying a homogeneous starting material for your wedding rings is essential for an optimal result. The exact fineness of the precious metal is not necessarily decisive. After all, we are talking about old gold or family gold. Rather, it is important to ensure that the impurities that may be present in the old pieces of jewellery do not cause any stains or colour shading in the later rings.
Of course, this could be concealed with an additional coating of gold, by means of galvanic gilding. However, as this wears off again over the years, shades reappear later. Furthermore, such anomalies may also indicate weaknesses in the material structure. Fine cracks and possibly even fractures at a later date would be possible.
Beautiful refinement of the ladies' ring by diamonds
The lady's ring was also refined by our jeweller with a multitude of diamonds. The result is a beautiful memoire ring with diamonds all around and a wonderful warm gold tone.
