We have also named the Aiele wedding rings after a well-known type of wood. Using the Mokume Gane forging technique, master goldsmith Markus Wiesner has welded layers of the precious metals 585 red gold and 500 palladium into a solid piece of Mokume Gane material and forged this extraordinary pair of wedding rings from it. Red gold, a very conspicuous precious metal in itself, which can quickly become very dominant, especially when used over a large area, is harmonised very pleasantly here through the combination with palladium. In this very special combination and forging, the two precious metals form a colourful and very appealing combination that definitely appeals to all red gold lovers, but as a whole does not appear too powerful. An all-round successful fusion of two precious metals that could not be more different.

The Mokume Gane wedding ring pair Aiele

The Mokume Gane wedding rings Aiele are forged from 585 red gold and 950 platinum. Although red gold is usually very dominant in wedding rings, it appears very subtle here due to the combination with platinum. Often, the combination of colours in Mokume Gane wedding rings results in a completely different appearance than would be permitted by a mental examination of the individual precious metals. An effect that master goldsmith Markus Wiesner discovered quite by chance, but which can be repeated according to a recipe. The lines and precise arrangement of the stars are entirely subject to the nature of mokume gane, and therefore appear slightly different with each new pair of wedding rings. The diagonally set princess cut diamond blends beautifully into the pattern of the mokume gane.

Originally, we planned and forged this pair of Mokume Gane wedding rings in platinum and rose gold. However, it has already found its happy wearers. We then tried the second pair in this colour and pattern combination in red gold and palladium to discover the difference in colour effect using a slightly darker metal. If you find the grey of this palladium-red gold version a little too strong, you can easily switch to the slightly lighter platinum 950. The overall impression of the Mokume Gane wedding rings Aiele will then appear somewhat lighter. Of course, the colours can be further influenced by varying the number of layers and the thickness of the individual precious metals. Thinner layers of red gold, for example, make the red of the wedding rings appear more in the background.

Diamonds in the Mokume Gane rings Aiele

With the Aiele model, too, it is possible to set small or even larger diamonds of various cuts. Either one or more mokume gane lines set with flawless brilliant-cut diamonds, or individual brilliant-cut, princess-cut, heart-cut, navette-cut or oval-cut diamonds can be set. For one or the other type of cut, we are happy to design a completely individual ring profile that emphasises the beauty of the diamond without undercutting the mokume gane. In the case of individual diamonds, it does not always have to be the particularly large stone that is integrated into the ladies' ring and forms a unity with it.
