Ramon is one of the more expressive designs in our Mokume Gane ring collection. What sets it apart are six striking stars that emerge from the vibrant grain, giving this pair of rings a distinctive rhythm. Between them, lines of yellow gold, palladium, and silver flow across the surface in a free, organic motion.

It is precisely this interplay that makes Ramon so captivating: the warm yellow gold adds luminous accents, palladium introduces calmer gray tones, and silver creates bright contrasts. Depending on the viewing angle and the way the light falls, different lines, surfaces, and stars stand out more prominently.

The result is extraordinary wedding rings whose impact stems from more than just the combination of materials. Ramon’s true character only emerges during the forging and shaping of the layered Mokume-Gane material—and is slightly different for every pair of rings.

Three precious metals—yellow gold, palladium, and silver

For Ramon, we combine 750 yellow gold, 500 palladium, and 925 silver. The different layers of precious metals are fused together in our own goldsmith’s workshop to form the Mokume-Gane layered material, which is then further forged and crafted.

The three colors are therefore not a coating applied afterward. They arise directly from the precious metals used: the warm yellow of the gold, the subdued gray of the palladium, and the bright silver.

As the piece is further worked, different areas of these layers become visible. This gives rise to the flowing lines and the stars that are characteristic of Ramon. We can revisit the basic motif—but the exact pattern of the grain emerges anew with every ring.

Seamlessly Forged

Ramon is seamlessly forged from solid Mokume-Gane layered material. This ensures there are no solder joints to interrupt the pattern.

This is particularly important for Ramon: The grain wraps around the entire ring, connecting the individual star motifs. As the ring rotates on the finger, different lines, areas of color, and details continually come into view.

The design therefore has no defined “front” side. The pattern comes to life all around the entire ring.

Diamonds as Strategic Accents

With the Ramon, diamonds can be integrated particularly beautifully into the existing star pattern. The diamond setting does not have to work against the grain; rather, it can be intentionally incorporated into the design.

For example, we have already crafted a custom pair of Ramon rings featuring a white princess-cut diamond in the women’s ring and a black diamond of the same cut in the men’s ring. Other custom diamond settings are also possible within the limits of technical feasibility.

Of course, Ramon can also be crafted entirely without diamonds. In that case, the six stars, the three precious metal colors, and the vibrant Mokume-Gane grain take center stage on their own.

Custom-Made for You

The Ramon rings shown are examples of pairs that have already been crafted. Your own pair will be custom-made just for you and will feature its own unique grain pattern.

The ring width can be chosen between 4 and 10 mm. The standard profile height is approximately 2 mm and can be adjusted within the limits of technical feasibility. The rings are crafted with a slight curve on both the inside and outside.

Modifications are also possible within the design. For example, the number of yellow gold lines can be adjusted, or an additional line of rose gold can be incorporated into the design. Diamonds can be individually set to complement the resulting grain pattern.

Thus, the Ramon pair shown here does not serve as a rigid template, but rather as a starting point for your own Mokume Gane rings.

Extraordinary wedding rings for lovers of striking patterns

Ramon is not a subtle Mokume-Gane design. While other rings primarily feature delicate wood-grain patterns or calm lines, here the six stars define the character. In between them, the grain is allowed to be freer and more vibrant.

Ramon also offers more color variation than a two-tone model. The warm yellow gold repeatedly emerges between the cool palladium and the light silver. As a result, the appearance changes with even the slightest movement of the hand: sometimes a golden star catches the eye first, then a light silver line or a bolder texture in the palladium.

For those seeking extraordinary wedding rings that boldly showcase their uniqueness, Ramon is therefore a distinctive variation of our Mokume Gane rings. The star pattern gives the design its distinctive character without obscuring the naturally formed grain.

Handcrafted in our goldsmith’s workshop

Ramon does not start with pre-purchased Mokume Gane material. Master goldsmith Markus Wiesner creates the layered material himself in our goldsmith’s workshop. The different layers of yellow gold, palladium, and silver are prepared and permanently fused together.

Markus Wiesner then uses forging and precise further processing to develop the Ramon grain pattern from this material. In the process, different areas of the precious metal layers are exposed, and the characteristic stars are brought out.

As a result, the outcome cannot be precisely replicated like an industrial design. We can define the character of Ramon, the number of stars, and the basic design—but the fine lines and transitions are created anew with each piece during the artisanal process.

For us, this is precisely what makes this technique so appealing: Two pairs can unmistakably be Ramon and yet never look exactly the same.
