Seraya – Two-tone Mokume Gane rings with a delicate star pattern, crafted from platinum and yellow gold

Seraya is one of our most elegant yet understated Mokume Gane rings. 950 platinum and 750 yellow gold combine to create a delicate, flowing grain in which warm gold tones meet cool, light platinum lines.

A defining feature of Seraya is the comparatively gentle pattern of the Mokume Gane design. The polished platinum elements on the sides frame the grained surface and give the rings a clear outline.

In the women’s ring, this design can be further accentuated by two bands of diamonds encircling the ring. The result is a pair of rings that combines the organic effect of Mokume Gane with a highly precise and elegant design.

Two Precious Metals—Warm Gold Tones and Light Platinum

For Seraya, we use 750 yellow gold and 950 platinum. The visible gold and platinum tones are not applied to the rings afterward. They arise from the permanently bonded layers of precious metals in the Mokume Gane material.

Through forging and further processing, the individual layers are shaped and become visible on the surface as fine lines and areas. It is precisely the contrast between the warm yellow gold and the light platinum that gives Seraya its characteristic gold-gray appearance.

The grain pattern of each pair of rings is unique—which is why every pair of Seraya rings is one-of-a-kind.

Seamlessly Forged

Seraya is forged seamlessly in our goldsmith’s workshop. This ensures there is no solder joint that would visibly interrupt the Mokume Gane pattern. The grain can continue around the ring without a discernible beginning or end.

The grained ring band consists of solid Mokume Gane layered material. The pattern is thus an integral part of the material itself and not a decoration applied later or a thin layer soldered on.

Diamonds as a Deliberate Accent

Seraya can be crafted without diamonds or as a women’s ring elaborately set with them. In the model shown, two delicate lines of diamonds run along both sides of the grained ring surface.

Custom-made for you

The pair of rings pictured illustrates the character of the Seraya model and serves as an example of the grain pattern, color effect, and design. Your rings will be newly crafted for you and will develop their own unique pattern during the forging process. The number of diamonds required varies depending on the ring size.

Ring widths ranging from 7 to 14 mm, as well as various profile heights, are available. The model shown has a width of 8.8 mm. Ring sizes, profile, and diamond setting can be customized within technical limitations.

Seraya is particularly appealing to couples seeking Mokume Gane with a high-quality and comparatively subdued color effect. Unlike models featuring silver, palladium, and multiple gold tones, Seraya deliberately focuses on the contrast between platinum and yellow gold.

This gives the pattern a subtle and understated appearance. The light platinum lines define the gold tones and allow the fine grain to be clearly seen.

Seraya also stands out from many other Mokume Gane rings in terms of design: the marbled surface is framed by clean platinum elements.

Handcrafted in our goldsmith’s workshop

Seraya is individually crafted in our goldsmith’s workshop. Master goldsmith Markus Wiesner creates the Mokume Gane rings from layers of precious metals welded together specifically for this purpose and develops the unique grain pattern through forging and finishing.

The pattern is not applied or reproduced industrially. The grain pattern emerges during the artisanal production process, making each pair of rings a one-of-a-kind piece.
