Since 2006, goldsmith Markus Wiesner forges with joy and passion, wedding rings and jewelry, in the Japanese forging technique Mokume Gane. Mokume Gane rings are characterized by your very special patterns, which are very often reminiscent of the grain of wood. It is not for nothing that "Mokume Gane" translated into German means "wood-grained metal".
Family rings
Quite classically one knows as a family ring a signet ring, or coat of arms ring. But why not something completely different. A ring that reflects your feelings and the importance of your family for you in a very special and individual way. We were allowed to design and make the ring shown here for a family who, some time after marrying Wiesner Mokume Gane rings, wanted a ring that symbolized the entire family. Wild mokume gane was to be next to plain rose gold. Loosely joined together with a wave running all around. A bond of love holding everything together. The children born in the meantime symbolized by two small gemstones in blue and pink. It gave us great pleasure to design and make this family ring. Perhaps you also have your own idea for your family ring. We would be happy to turn it into a real piece of jewelry for you. Ask us...

At the beginning, of course, is your handwriting template, which makes the gift for mum or dad truly unique.
The names from your handwriting template are transferred to your ring using a special process.
The engraving graver cannot be used on stainless steel rings. Here we use a fine cutter to engrave the handwriting.

Before the final engraving of the names is made, the lettering is again pre-drawn with a needle.
For precious metals, we engrave the names of your individual gifts with the engraving graver. This gives the engraving a characteristic shine.

Jewellery as a gift for the birth of a child for the mother, for her birthday, Mother's Day or Christmas.
The birth of a child is a very special and beautiful moment in the life of a couple. Everything revolves around the arrival of the new family member. In our goldsmith's studio, we were often asked by the fathers-to-be for a jewellery gift that would be suitable for this occasion, and best of all, made individually. Rings as gifts were usually particularly popular, and so the idea of the MAMARING was soon born. Admittedly, it came about in the process of thinking about and designing a jewellery ring together with a customer. A ring on which the child's name of the expected offspring is written in the mother's handwriting. Framed by two small diamonds. The very special gift for the birth of a child.
Over the years, many modifications have been made to this basic idea. Children who gave their mother a MAMARING for her birthday, Mother's Day or Christmas. The children's names in this case written by the children themselves.
Especially the still uncertain handwriting of the little ones, who have just learned to scribble their own names, provide an ingenious template for memories of special quality.
The Mum Ring, as a gift for the birth of a child for the mother, was the original idea of Michael and Markus Wiesner. Over the past 15 years, however, we have also been able to design mama rings for countless different occasions. In addition, we are always surprised by the variations of the mam ring that our customers often wish for. For example, as a Christmas gift with the names of the children and the father on it. A Mother's Day gift where both children and grandchildren found space on, and inside, the ring. Often the most beautiful, as well as the craziest ideas come to us in the workshop as an extension of the mum ring. Engraved star formations with an individual meaning, for example. We are happy about every individual wish. Let your imagination run wild.
The Mum Ring is an invention by Michael and Markus Wiesner. We engrave the name of your child in your handwriting on the ring. This gives the mommy ring a particularly individual touch. The personal handwriting of the mother or the children serves as a template for this. A brilliant-cut diamond is set to the left and right of the inscription to add a sparkling touch. We produce the mummy ring in stainless steel, silver, white gold, yellow gold, palladium and platinum.
