Mokume Gane wedding rings forged in striking colours
The wedding rings Aiele, we have also named after a well-known wood species. In the forging technique of Mokume Gane, master goldsmith Markus Wiesner has welded layers of the precious metals 585 red gold and 500 palladium into a solid piece of Mokume Gane material and forged this extraordinary pair of wedding rings. Red gold, a very striking precious metal, which quickly becomes very dominant, especially when used over a large area, is harmonized by the combination with palladium. In this very special combination and forging, the two precious metals form a very appealing combination in terms of colour, which certainly appeals to all friends of red gold, but does not appear too powerful when taken as a whole. An all-round successful fusion of two precious metals that could not be more different.
Wedding rings possible using platinum instead of palladium
Originally we had planned and also forged this Mokume Gane wedding ring pair in platinum and red gold. However, it has already found its lucky wearers. We then tried the second pair in this colour and pattern combination in red gold and palladium to discover the difference in the colour effect using a slightly darker metal. If the grey of this palladium-red gold version is a little too strong for you, you can easily switch to the slightly lighter platinum 950. The overall impression of the Mokume Gane wedding rings Aiele will then appear a little brighter. Of course, the colour characteristics can be further influenced by varying the number and thickness of the layers of individual precious metals. Thinner layers of red gold, for example, make the red of the wedding rings appear a little more in the background.
You can try the Atelier - Wedding Rings Aiele in the following design.
- 500 palladium | 585 red gold
- 5.3 mm ring width | 1.8 mm profile height
- Ring widths DR 54 and HR 64
- slightly convex inside and outside
- as usual hand forged without hem and joint
Diamonds in the Mokume Gane rings Aiele
With the Aiele model it is also possible to set small or even larger diamonds of various cuts. Either one or more Mokume Gane lines set with flawless brilliants or single diamonds in brilliant cut, princess cut, heart cut, navette or oval cut can be set. For one or the other cut we will be happy to design a ring profile that emphasises the beauty of the diamond without undermining the Mokume Gane. In the case of individual diamonds, it does not always have to be the particularly large stone that is integrated into the lady's ring, forming a unit with it. Especially with Mokume Gane wedding rings, it is important to match the stone size to the ring design, especially with regard to the pattern. Please feel free to ask us. We are open to all your ideas and advise you on the balance and feasibility of your wishes and ideas. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

Mokume Gane wedding rings with passion
Master goldsmith Markus Wiesner, is one of two owners of "Wiesner - Die Goldschmiede" and has been producing Mokume Gane wedding rings and jewellery with enthusiasm and passion since 2006.
Markus Wiesner has dedicated himself fundamentally to the classic forging technique in an endless process. These Mokume Gane wedding rings, which are forged without seam or butt joint, symbolize in a unique way the unforgettable nature of love.
The fact that the Mokume Gane wedding rings from "Wiesner - Die Goldschmiede" are also offered with butt joint is only to make you aware that there are differences in quality. As some suppliers of these wedding rings produce and offer them with butt joint, and this is not always immediately obvious, but the price is much lower, we compare this directly in our presentation.
The second owner of "Wiesner-Die Goldschmiede" is Michael Wiesner. As a trained merchant and business economist (VWA), he fills the field of photography, web design, product ideas and presentation, as well as marketing. In the field of idea finding, he has so far been responsible for the collections Sternzeichenringe ( 2001), Mamaringe (2004). He is also responsible for the discovery of the Mokume Gane technique as an interesting forging art for "Wiesner-Die Goldsmiths".
